Children’s Departments
Want to invest in the Church of Tomorrow? Looking for a place to serve once a month? Teacher's Assistants are needed in our Nursery and both our Children's Departments. Choose from our infants to 2 year olds, our 3-5 year old Junior Super Kid Academy class or Super Kid Academy for ages 6-12. No lesson preparation is required. FDLE Applications can be picked up from the SKA room before and after service.

Greeters
Our greeters are the first outstretched arm, the first open heart and the first words that greet the newcomer to GVC. We smile with the love of God, serve with spirit of the Lord and pray with those who need it with the heart of God. If you have a kind, sweet, loving bold spirit, come join the greeters. We love people and have the greatest time welcoming the family together and into His presence.

Ushers
The ushering ministry falls under the ministry of helps as outlined in I Corinthians 12:28 by Paul. Men and women called to this ministry share in the pastors’ vision and will assist them in getting their vision out. We need men and women who will flow with the supernatural anointing of God, who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and who walk in unity and love. The duties of an usher include: greeting people before service, taking offerings, and helping with altar ministry. If you feel called to this ministry, come join us.

Hospitality
There are a variety of positions that are in need. We need setup volunteers, cooks that are knowledgeable about all aspects of food, cleanup volunteers, and food servers. Helpers to prepare for Sunday night must come in at 4:00 pm to set up tables and get food and refreshments ready for after service. We need someone to remove trash after Sunday afterglow and special events. We need volunteers to re-set up the room after special functions. We need volunteers to assist with help carrying in large food purchases and supplies from Sam’s.

Facilities We have various departments in Facilities such as cleaning, installation, repair, and outdoor maintenance. Assistants who are interested in any of these areas would contact Gina or Scott Crumley. We are looking for people who have a heart to serve and would welcome you and work with your scheduling needs. In this department, our goal is to present Grand View Church with our best foot forward.

Teller Committee
The Teller Committee Team is looking for members that are trustworthy, loyal, and honest. We handle the tithes and offerings for the church and need team members that can be trusted with the confidentiality of the moneys being handled. Our goal is to gain enough team members so a calendar can be developed and individuals can be rotated. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, please contact Sonny Puckett or Carol Wexler for an application. This department requires a background check. This is to protect the church and those faithful members who give to this ministry.

Sound Engineer
Assistants will need to know the sequence of turning on and off the sound system.
Volunteers must be able to serve one hour before service for sound checks, check microphones, and prepare additional equipment. They will be familiar with the sound board and all controls. They will be responsible for playing music prior to service and after. They will record audio of the service. They must always be alert, watching the worship leader and pastors for instruction. Persons must be fully trained before being allowed to run sound during worship. Training is available on Thursday evenings at 6:45.

Easy Worship
The Easy Worship assistant needs basic computer skills. They will be responsible for running the Easy Worship program that will include displaying announcements, worship songs, scripture, video, pictures, and PowerPoint presentations. Also, the assistant will record the entire service for archive purposes. The assistant must arrive one hour prior to service in order to run worship songs during practice. Training will be given on Thursday evenings at 6:45 during worship practice.

Media
The GVC Media Ministry is responsible for video recording and editing the services of Grand View Church and distributing them to television stations for broadcast. We also post a version on the GVC website for archive purposes. We are always looking for volunteers to run cameras for our 3 services per week (Sunday @ 10am and 6pm and Wednesday @ 7pm). Each service requires 3 camera operators and a video director.
